Beach behind concrete

Beach behind concrete

Yes, we are in full surf mode. First Surf & Skate in Hamburg, Cologne and Munich and now this: the Surf Week Berlin is about to come crashing in and with it a foaming mixture of hang-loose-attitude and a longing for the great wide open. Though there is no ocean in sight we couldn’t care less. By the time we get just a glimpse of Adam Pesces „Splinters“ next Monday, we’ll practically be able to taste the ocean and feel a cold rush of adrenalin. The epic documentation about native surfers in Papua New Guinea will be showcased as part of the Surf Movie Night and marks the beginning of a whole week dedicated to summer, surf and sun worshipping. The Nord / Nordost – Surf Film Festival will be featuring movies, art, exhibitions and concerts galore before the Straend Festival at Arena Badeschiff opens its doors Saturday afternoon for a dancing grand finale with Hanna Leess, Stu Larsen, Sunset Sons und Jake Isaac. Stroll down the marketplace, enjoy a river view while admiring sculptures made by the SKELETON SEA collective and browse through various exhibitions at the gallery next door. Catch all the highlights of the Surf Film Festival at evening screenings, ride through the night with Balthazar und Erobique and take it to the max at the after show party in the clubs! Tickets range from 17,35 Euro and 34 Euro.  A full of week of highlights – here it comes!
